Imagine sitting down for a long time on the floor with your legs crossed, and not moving at all of shifting position. Gradually, you’re going to lose the sensation in your feet, and you won’t feel them at all after a few minutes. And by the time you finally move again, it will feel like a thousand needles are pricking your feet and legs. You are thrown out of balance because of the pain and tingling you feel, especially at the soles of your feet. Now, imagine having that feeling the rest of the day, even when you’re constantly moving around. Imagine how hard it is to concentrate with your daily activities when every step you take, you feel like you’re walking on a bed of needles. How to prevent the early signs of foot neuropathy

There are much worse cases of the neuropathy of the foot. Because with a lot of patients, the reason behind their foot neuropathy is diabetes, apart from the tingling or numbness they feel in their feet, they also feel a burning sensation, like they’re walking on fire, or exposed to something really hot at least. The degree of pain varies for different individuals. Some may be lucky enough to only experience the tingling and numbness, but there are also those who feel a lot worse. There are even those who, because of so much pain in their feet, can’t afford to stand up for a long time.

The best way to avoid experiencing what neuropathy of the foot feel like is to take proper care of yourself and monitor any unusual condition you might fee, especially if you have diabetes and you know it. Because neuropathy of the foot is common with people with diabetes, it’s wise to consult with your doctor early to avoid foot neuropathy from getting worse. Remember, prevention is always better than cure, not to mention much more affordable.
